Job Summary

TopBuilder is looking for a driven, creative and experienced sales consultant who will help us grow our company. 

This position is responsible for generating qualified sales leads and product awareness of our industry leading construction business development solution (CRM). This is a sales position requiring experience and expertise in: 

  1. The construction industry 

  1. Construction industry software (SaaS) business development 

  1. Construction industry trade organizations, user groups, peer groups and networking organizations 

  1. Speaking, educating and promoting products and services to the construction industry 

  1. Understanding and communicating how technology helps construction companies

Job Responsibilities

Here is a summarized list of job duties and responsibilities. 

  • Establish a detailed understanding of the TopBuilder product and the value it provides to the construction industry. 
  • Develop and manage a business development plan, budget and calendar. 
  • Communicate, network and sell to existing and new industry groups and organizations. 
  • Participate, educate and speak at current and new trade groups, user groups and industry events/organizations to bring brand and solution awareness of TopBuilder and the value it provides. 
  • Manage necessary sales collateral, presentations, development environment, and prospect data (in TopBuilder). 
  • Work with sales prospects to understand and document their business development needs. 
  • Schedule and manage software presentations and demonstrations virtually (GoToMeeting or Teams) and live. 
  • This includes trades shows and live audiences. 
  • Maintain a follow-up and lead nurturing schedule. 
  • Prepare, distribute and follow-up on sales proposals and quotes. 
  • Manage sales information in TopBuilder CRM according to company standards and guidelines. 
  • You will be accountable for meeting sales and performance metrics primarily around qualified lead generation. 

Software Sales Consultant:

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience with a proven track record in sales and the construction or new home sales industry.
  • Experience with CRM is helpful but not required. 
  • Problem solver and creative thinker, who can communicate professionally.

  • You will need to manage your own schedule. 
  • Some travel is required. 
  • You must provide references. 
  • You will be subject to a background check.
  • Must be able to work both in the office and remotely.
